About the event

Tinajo You Trail reaches its tenth edition in 2026, on Friday 4 and Saturday 5 September, with all three races packed into the Saturday. It is run by the Tinajo town council sports department and everything happens in one place: the esplanade of the Ermita de Los Dolores, in Mancha Blanca. The ninth edition, on Saturday 6 September 2025, drew 650 runners from nine countries.

Course and distances

All three races start and finish on the Los Dolores esplanade and pass through the Guiguán crater before the final kilometre.

• 33 km (33.5 km on the ground), 08:30. 1,093 m of climbing and the same of descent, 2,186 m in total. Official surface breakdown: 17.05 km of trail and footpath (50.82%), 10 km of farm track (29.81%), 4.2 km of volcanic trail (12.52%) and 2.3 km of tarmac (6.86%). 7.5 km of the route is uphill, with a maximum gradient of 37.3%.
• 14 km, 10:30. High point 434 m. This is the distance that scores for the Tinajo popular races cup.
• 8 km, 11:00. High point 335 m, with the climb up Montaña del Norte at 20 to 23%.

Cumulative climb is not published for those two shorter races.

Cut-offs on the 33 km. The 2026 rules dossier puts the checkpoint at the La Laguneta aid station, km 28.8, at 12:56:30: 4 h 26 min 30 s of racing at an average 9:15 min/km. The remaining 4.7 km have to be covered at 10:00 min/km or faster. The finish cut-off is 13:43:30, a ceiling of 5 h 13 min 30 s, and the race closes at 13:45. One warning: the 33.5 km page on the official website still shows the 2025 cut-offs, 12:50 and 13:40.

Aid stations. Four on the 33 km, at kilometres 8.1, 13.6, 20.8 and 28.8; one on the 14 km at 9.2, and one on the 8 km at 4.3. No cups are handed out, so your own water container is compulsory kit: at least 0.5 L on the 8 and 14 km and 0.75 L on the 33 km, checkable at any control and at the finish. Poles are the only aid allowed, and no federation licence or medical certificate is required.

Entry and prices

Entries opened on Monday 2 March 2026 and close on Wednesday 2 September at 12:00, or earlier if the roughly 1,000 places for the whole event sell out. Payment is by card on the official website, with no refunds and no name changes.

One price per format, with no date increases: 33 km, 30 EUR; 14 km, 15 EUR; 8 km, 10 EUR; guided walk, 7 EUR; Chinijos children’s race, 2 EUR. Bibs are collected on Friday 4, from 16:00 to 20:00, at Plaza de Los Dolores, with official photo ID.

33 km men: Octavio de León (Carphial Teror Trail) 2:56:07, Rubén Rodríguez (CM El Jable) 3:00:22 and Alejandro Martín (Triyaiza) 3:08:08. Women: Beatriz Barroso (Tribu Trail) 3:42:01, Teresa Menzel (Todo por un Sueño) 4:03:39 and Marta Bazán (Latitud 29) 4:08:18.

14 km: Rayco Hernández (Latitud 29) 55:59 and Anya Lamprecht (Latitud 29) 1:08:39. 8 km: Akorán Rodríguez (EAMJ Playas de Jandía) 33:47 and Clémence Baritou 42:02.

Planning your race

Friday afternoon has two family activities: a guided walk through Las Quemadas at 17:00 and the Chinijos children’s race at 18:00, over 400, 800 and 1,200 m by age. Check before you go: the Chinijos page says the 5th, the official programme says Friday the 4th.

The best place to watch is the Guiguán crater and the last kilometre along the Los Dolores access road: all three distances come through. The Merendero car parks sit between 800 m and 1.2 km from the start. Trophies at 14:00, event over at 15:00. The next big trail on the calendar is Haría Titán, in November.
