Ultrabike Lanzarote
An MTB event linked to Club Santa Rosa and GPS-based routes; the next date is still pending official confirmation.

About the event
The Ultrabike is the mountain bike race with the strongest identity on Lanzarote: two stages over one weekend, Saturday’s on La Graciosa and Sunday’s on Lanzarote, based in Costa Teguise. Nobody else offers a full stage on the eighth island.
And it has not been held since 27 and 28 April 2024, when the 10th edition was run. The 11th edition was set for 3 and 4 May 2025, with more than 400 entries and a new UCI category, and it fell through two days beforehand.
Why it was not run
The Canary Islands Government issued a report warning that the route could affect a bird nesting area. According to Canarias7, the report came out on the Wednesday afternoon and the island council learned of it on the Friday morning; by then there was no margin to redraw the course and obtain the permits from Teguise council and the traffic authority in time.
The organisers then spoke of moving it to the autumn, probably an October weekend, subject to accepting the administration’s conditions. It did not happen.
Route and distances
The historic format is two stages: a time trial and circuit on La Graciosa on the Saturday, and a long stage on Lanzarote on the Sunday, with distances for different levels.
We do not publish 2026 distances here, because the ones in circulation are from 2024 and the course is precisely what the administration called into question. Repeating those figures would mean vouching for a route nobody knows still exists.
Registration and status
No edition has been called and no entries are open. The official website still shows the 2025 postponement notice, word for word, with no new date. Checked on 6 September 2026.
A July 2026 date circulates on aggregator sites. We do not publish it: it appears in no source from the organiser, and a race cancelled over an environmental report does not come back without the organiser announcing it.
If you are interested, the thing to watch is not the calendar: it is that notice on the official site changing.
Planning notes
If it ever returns, the logistical detail that sets it apart is the ferry to La Graciosa with a bike: Saturday’s stage means crossing from Órzola and arranging transport for your kit, and that shapes accommodation and timings for the whole weekend.
In the meantime, La Graciosa can be ridden independently any day. It is not the same as a race number, but the terrain is.
