4 Stage MTB Race Lanzarote 2026: results
Østergaard closed the race 4:28 up on Luis León Sánchez, and 4:21 of that lead was already banked after two stages. For the women, it was all the time trial.

Kristian Østergaard Andersen won the 2026 4 Stage MTB Race Lanzarote in 8:31:06, and Tessa Kortekaas took the women’s race in 9:51:44. The four stages ran from Thursday 3 to Sunday 6 September, based at Club La Santa with starts around Tinajo, Teguise, Haría and Soo. It is the first edition held in September: until now the race lived at the start of the year.

The race was settled on day one
Østergaard finished 4:28 ahead of Luis León Sánchez, but 4:21 of those 4:28 were already in the bank after stage two. The opening time trial gave him 1:07 and stage two another 3:14. The two big days, the queen stage and the finale, moved seven seconds between them.
Not for want of a fight. On stage three, the longest, Luis León Sánchez won by one second: 3:40:05 to 3:40:06. On stage four Østergaard crossed first in 1:54:59 with the top three inside nine seconds, Théo Dupras at four and Sánchez at eight.
Dupras is the other story of the general classification. He was second after two stages and lost 24 minutes on stage three, dropping to fourth at 26:05. The next day he was second on the stage, so Saturday’s collapse cost him the podium.
For the women, it was all the time trial
The women’s case is even cleaner. Kortekaas and Alba Teruel Ribes ended 2:58 apart, and that gap is essentially the opening time trial, where the Dutch rider took 3:01. After that they spent three stages tied to the second: Teruel won stage two by one and stage three by three; Kortekaas won stage four by one. The three mass-start stages, added together, moved three seconds.
Behind them, Claudia Galicia Cotrina was third at 1:14:43 and Lourdes Bethencourt Trujillo fourth.
The mountain prize went elsewhere
The timed climb at Presa de Mala, on stage three, has its own king and queen of the mountain classification, and it is an age-group classification: no elite rider scores in it. Antonio Padrón, of VELOSA, won it in 31:01, 2:06 clear of Yeray Delgado. Among the women it went to Lourdes Bethencourt Trujillo, of Z2 Bike, in 44:24.
The numbers of this edition
107 riders completed the full four-stage classification, 99 men and 8 women. Stage four was finished by 157, because the race also takes a two-stage entry with its own standings.
