III Puerto del Carmen Music Run Night
Night race along Avenida de las Playas with music stations on the course: 10 km, 5 km and a family mile. Run on 18 April 2026 with a 21:30 start.
Event information
About the race
The III Puerto del Carmen Music Run Night was run on Saturday 18 April 2026, starting at 21:30. The name sounds like a summer race, but it is not one: it is run in April, at night, and in 2026 it drew 500 entries.
It is organised by Summits Sport Events with the sports department of Tías Town Council. The idea is simple: close Avenida de las Playas, put music stations with DJs along the course and run to that. The 2026 edition coincided with the 60th anniversary of Puerto del Carmen as a tourist resort.
There are three distances, and one of them, the family mile, is designed so that anyone can do it, walking included.
Course and distances
Start and finish are under the arch at the end of Calle Plutón, on Avenida de las Playas, next to the Parque de las Naciones. The course is urban and flat, along Avenida de las Playas and the seafront at Los Pocillos and Matagorda.
- 10 km
- 5 km
- 1.6 km, family mile
Because it is flat and at sea level, it is one of the island races where a personal best is most within reach, provided the night comes in cool.
Entry and bibs
Entry is handled through Summits Sport Events. No official source gives the 2026 fee: figures circulate in tourist guides, but we are not publishing them because they are not confirmed. For reference, the same organiser charged between 12 and 16 euros by distance at the sister race in Haría.
Bib collection was on Friday 17 April at Sport Clubs Puerto Calero, from 09:00 to 13:00 and from 17:00 to 20:00.

What happens besides the running
There is a programme before and after the race: zumba, salsa, fitness, DJs and a set by the band Kódigo 4. It is a party night with a race inside it, rather than a race with background music.
The Music Run Night series
The race is part of the Series Music Run Night, a Canary Islands series of five events with cash prizes for anyone who completes four of the five. The other Lanzarote date in the series is the Haría Music Run Night in August. The full series calendar is not published on the organiser’s website, so anyone chasing the standings will have to ask directly.
Planning your race
A 21:30 start changes the whole day: dinner comes after, not before, so eat properly at midday and arrive with your legs already loosened. In April the night in Puerto del Carmen is mild, but the sea breeze along the avenue is noticeable the moment you stop, so bring dry clothes for the finish.
For anyone coming to watch, it is one of the easiest races on the island: the course follows the promenade, you can see it from any terrace on Avenida de las Playas, and the finish is under the same arch as the start.
No podiums or results have been published for the third edition, so you will not find classifications on this page.
