How many actually ran. Local media reported 500 runners, all three in the same wording, which suggests a single press release. The official classifications add up to 388 finishers: 120 over 10 km, 231 over 5 km and 37 in the mile. A gap between entries and finishers is normal, but the second figure is the one that can be checked.
The 5 km was by far the biggest race, and the most evenly split: 118 men and 111 women.
Why names are missing
The Music Run Night Series rules open the races from the under-14 category, 12 to 14 years old, and the 1.6 km mile is the family race. The timing publishes times but nobody’s age category, so there is no way to tell who is an adult and who is not. The names that stay are the ones we could verify in another race the same year; the rest are not published.
A warning if you look this race up in the press: four names were misspelled everywhere, including the women’s 10 km winner, whom the official timing records as Maike Döhling.
