Fisiosan 5K
Charity 5 km race and walk along the seafront and the beach of Playa Honda, with an inclusive route. Held on Saturday 3 October 2026, and the 5 km start at 17:30.

About the event
The Fisiosan 5K is the charity run and walk of Playa Honda, in the municipality of San Bartolomé. It is organised by the Fisiosan physiotherapy clinic together with the sports department of San Bartolomé town hall, and every edition raises money for a different island association.
That cause changes the name of the race each year, which is exactly why it is hard to track: it was FISIOSAN INCLUSIVA 5K in 2023, FISIOSAN ELA 5K in 2024, when the money went to Alanem, the Lanzarote motor neurone disease association, and FISIOSAN 5K in 2025.
Course and distances
Start and finish on the Guacimeta esplanade, on the Avenida de Playa Honda, with almost two kilometres of the course running on beach sand. That detail decides your shoe choice: this is not a road 5K, and you want something you do not mind soaking or filling with sand.
Alongside the 5 km there is a walk of around 4 kilometres, out and back along the same seafront, and children’s races by age group, from 2 to 11 years old. There is also a solidarity bib for anyone who wants to support the cause without running.
In 2023 it was run at 11:00, so this is not a night race: it is run in the afternoon.
The schedule, and when each race really sets off
The 5 km start at 17:30, not at 17:00. The 17:00 given by the entry platform is the start of the event, which opens with the children’s races. It is the easiest confusion on this race and the most expensive one: anyone arriving believing they set off at 17:00 will spend half an hour waiting, and anyone arriving at 17:20 will think they have missed the start.

The rules ask you to be in the start area 30 minutes beforehand, which means 17:00 for the 5 km.
Bibs are collected on FRIDAY, not on race day
On Friday 2 October, from 11:00 to 18:00, on the ground floor of the Centro Comercial Deiland (calle Chimidas 20, Playa Honda). You have to bring the digital entry receipt or your ID document. Someone else can collect it by presenting that documentation.
The rules make no provision for collection on the Saturday. Anyone turning up on race day without a bib does not run.
Entries, now closed
Entries were handled on Cronoline Canarias, opened on 3 August and closed on 29 September 2026 at 23:59, Canary time. The platform no longer accepts them.
The organiser’s website published the date on 31 July 2026 and today links to the entry from its home page. What still causes confusion is that it keeps the 2023 and 2024 pages live with no year in the title: it is easy to open one and take it for the next edition when it is three years old. The 2025 and 2026 pages do carry the year.
The 2026 prices are published on Cronoline Canarias, checked on 12 September 2026: 15 EUR for the 5K, 30 EUR for mixed pairs, 15 EUR for the walk, 10 EUR for the children’s race and 10 EUR for the charity bib. Nothing is on record for 2025; the 2024 fees were 12 EUR for adults, 8 EUR for children and 10 EUR for the solidarity bib.
Who the 2026 edition is raising money for
The fifth edition is in aid of Club Deportivo Uninsu, the wheelchair hockey team of Lanzarote. The cause changes every year and is the heart of the race. Read in the official rules on 30 September 2026.
Services on race day
From the official rules: two feed stations, one at the halfway point with drinks and another at the start and finish with drinks and fruit. Bag drop in the start and finish area from 17:00 to 19:00. An ambulance and medical staff throughout the event. The adult fee includes a personalised bib and a T-shirt; the children’s fee adds a medal. There is a quiet corner with therapists for children with special needs, and a CD Uninsu stand with collection boxes.
The fourth edition, the previous one
It was run on Saturday 4 October 2025, with 560 participants, from two-year-olds to a runner of 86, and raised 3,180 EUR for Saltamos las Barreras, the association working on sporting inclusion for pupils with special educational needs.
In the 5 km, the first three men stopped the clock at 16:40, 17:15 and 17:27. In the women’s race the podium was 24:03, 24:19 and 25:12.
We do not give the names of that podium, for the same reason as in the 2026 edition: the 5 km is run from age 12 and its results publish neither age nor category (read on 10 October 2026), so there is no way to know whether any of those finishers was under 18. The places and the times are public and checkable.
Planning your race
The seafront is a flat promenade by the sea, so anyone coming to watch sees the whole race almost without moving, and the sand section is the best spot for photographs.

The mixed pairs price is the one published by the platform; neither the platform nor the rules make clear whether the 30 EUR is per pair or per person.
