Event information
About the event
The I San Leandro Trail Teseguite was run on Sunday 26 April 2026 and it was a debut. It was organised by the Comisión de Fiestas de Teseguite with the special support of C.D. Volcán Run Training, Teguise town council and the Cabildo de Lanzarote, while production and timing were handled by Tripasión Eventos and Sportmaniacs.
Teseguite is a village in the municipality of Teguise and the race is built around its community centre, the Teleclub: numbers were handed out there, all three events started there, and the morning ended there with paella and music. Village sport, with chip timing behind it.
Course and distances
The start is at the Teseguite community centre. Three adult events and three for children:
- Trail, 12.5 km
- Short trail, 5.2 km
- Hike, 5.2 km
- Children’s races: 200 m for ages 5 to 7, 350 m for 8 to 10 and 600 m for 11 to 13
The long distance comes with a caveat. The rules and the race listing call it Trail 12.5 km, but the schedule section of that same listing says “Trail 11 km”. The figure published here is the one in the rules. No source publishes the elevation gain.
The rules flag two things worth keeping in mind: the organisers do not fully close the roads, so there are village streets and public road sections, and there are no plastic cups at the aid stations, so every runner carries their own.
Timetable for the day
Numbers were collected on Saturday 25 April, from 18:00 to 20:30, at the community centre. The Sunday programme ran like this:
- 09:00, children’s races
- 10:00, start of the 12.5 km trail
- 10:04, start of the short trail and the hike according to the rules (the timing listing said 10:15, so that exact minute is not settled)
- 12:00, course closes
- 12:05 to 12:30, trophies and raffles
- From 12:30, free village paella and a beer barrel, with live music until 15:00
The clock started at the scheduled time, whether or not anyone was on the start line.
Entry and results
Neither the entry fee nor the closing date appears in a verifiable source, so this page does not give them. Entries were handled through Tripasión Eventos. Mandatory kit was a visible number, the timing chip and a water container; recommended were a working phone, suitable shoes and clothing, a cap, sun protection and ID.
The official rankings exist and are loaded into the Sportmaniacs listing, but they are served through a widget that cannot be read from outside, and no local outlet published the podiums. That is why there are no results here: as soon as there is a source that can be cited, they go in.
Planning your race
This is a festival race, with the food and the music part of the plan, and the morning timetable is built so that you finish and stay. Watching is easy: start, finish and prize giving all happen at the same spot, the community centre. If you run it, count on carrying your own cup and on sharing some tarmac with cars.
