The short race had 59 finishers, 28 men and 31 women: the only race of the day in which more women than men ran.
Two names recur here and elsewhere on the island: Tanausú Cabrera and Eutimio Betancor, second and third here, and Dani García, winner of the short race, met again later at the Transajaches in Femés. Loreto Gargallo, who won the short race, was on that podium too.
A note on the distance: the official listing and the competition record say 5.1 km, while the regulations say 5.2. Those hundred metres are not settled in any source.
No local outlet covered the race, so everything here comes from the official timing classifications. There are no results for the hike or the three children’s races because they were not timed.
