About the event

The IV Trail Infantil La Asomada was run on Sunday 26 April 2026 at 11:00, as part of the La Asomada village festival in the municipality of Tías. It is a race for children aged 0 to 12, free to enter, non-competitive and capped at 140 participants. It is organised by the Comisión de Fiestas de La Asomada together with the festivals department of Tías town council, and produced by Tripasión Eventos, the same company behind several adult trail races on the island.

Non-competitive means exactly that: a medal for everyone who finishes and no prizes by position. On the timing listing every category is marked as pending classification, and that is how it will stay, because there is no ranking to publish.

One warning, because the detail circulates wrongly: several reports call it “Sunday 26 April”. The 26th of April 2026 was a Sunday. The date is confirmed by the official timing listing; the weekday in those reports is their own mistake.

Distances by age

Start and finish next to the La Asomada community centre. Four races, split by year of birth:

• 100 m: ages 0 to 4, born in 2022 or later
• 300 m: ages 5 to 7, born between 2019 and 2021
• 500 m: ages 8 to 9, born in 2017 and 2018
• 800 m: ages 10 to 12, born between 2014 and 2016

The age that counts is the one on 31 December, not the age on race day. That is the difference between running 300 metres and 800, so it is worth checking before entering.

Entry and places

Entry was free and opened on 25 March 2026 at 08:00, closing on 22 April at 23:59 or earlier if the 140 places ran out. It was handled through Tripasión Eventos.

The morning, hour by hour

• 10:00 to 10:45: number collection in the Plaza de la Iglesia
• 11:00: races start, inside the 11:00 to 12:00 slot
• 12:00: foam party with bouncy castles

The plan is built so that the running takes the first half hour and the rest of the morning is a party.

Planning your day

Numbers are not collected where the race is run: the pick-up is in the Plaza de la Iglesia and the start is next to the community centre. Two points in the same village, but with small children and a 45 minute window it pays to arrive early.

After the running comes the foam, so a change of clothes and a towel matter more than any technical kit. And since this is a festival race with a short quota, 140 numbers, you enter as soon as entries open, not in race week.
