Petizo Trail
Night trail race in Órzola over two distances, 5.8 and 20.6 km, starting and finishing at the Teleclub. Entries close on 28 October or when full.

About the race
The Petizo Trail is run after dark in Órzola, at the northern tip of Lanzarote, on Saturday 31 October 2026. Start and finish are at the Teleclub de Órzola and the course uses tracks, footpaths and trails around the village, heading towards the Risco and the Mirador del Río.
Two distances, two start times
- 5.8 km, 150 metres of climbing. Starts at 19:00. Minimum age 5.
- 20.6 km, 450 metres of climbing. Starts at 19:30. Minimum age 16.
Mind the time: the organiser’s own event page lists it as an all-day event and gives no hour at all. The two above come from the race rules, which is the document that counts.
There is a single aid station on each distance: the short one at the Teleclub itself, the long one at the Mirador del Río.
Prices and deadline
Ten euros for the short course and fifteen for the long one. Entries opened on 15 September and close on 28 October, though the rules add that they may close sooner if the race fills up. Registration is through RockTheSport, even though the rules point at the organiser’s own website.
Compulsory kit
Both distances require a phone, your bib and a head torch. The 20.6 km adds a survival blanket. That is not a recommendation: it is in the rules.
Bibs are collected in the village
At the Teleclub de Órzola, on Friday the 30th from 18:00 to 20:00 and on Saturday the 31st from 16:00 to 17:00.
Three things the rules themselves leave open
Who organises it. The 2026 rules leave that field literally as “to be defined”. The event page says Summits Sports Events, and the entry platform lists Logos Lanzarote SL as the contact. In 2025 it was run by Haría council with the Peña Hendida association of Órzola and Kilómetros X Sonrisas.
How many places there are. The technical sheet says 200 participants in total; the entry section says 200 places per distance. Two different figures in the same document.
Cut-off times are not published. The rules say they will be announced before the race.
What happened in 2025
There was a night race in Órzola on 31 October 2025, but not quite this one: it was called Petizo Trail by KMxSonrisas and its distances were 5 km and around 12 or 13 km, depending on the source. No results were ever published for that edition, nor any participation figure.
