Lanzarote in November 2026: every race, weekend by weekend

November is the month when Lanzarote changes sport. The open water season closes, the big triathlons are over until spring, and what fills the calendar is running: a mountain marathon in the north, a night race in Tinajo, four races on four consecutive days and a night race in Playa Blanca to close. Six events in four weekends, and the island is still warm enough to swim at the start of the month.

Here is the whole month, with what each one actually is.

Friday 6 and Saturday 7 November: the southern swim and a mountain bike race

On Saturday the 7th comes the Papagayo Beaches Crossing, which closes the 12th Lanzarote Open Water Swimming Cup. It is one event under two names, and it is worth knowing that before you look it up in any calendar: the island Cup calls it Bahía de Playa Blanca, the organiser B15 Active enters it as Papagayo, and there is a single registration covering all seven distances. The long one is 4.5 kilometres from the Papagayo beaches to Playa Dorada, with some sections inside the Los Ajaches Natural Park, and the 1,200 m is swum in the bay of Playa Blanca: hence the two names. The short events go down to 50 metres for the youngest. Since 1 October the 4.5 km costs 55 EUR, the later of the two price bands; up to September it was 45 EUR. The 1,200 m stays at 20 EUR, and the other distances have not changed either. Entries close on 4 November.

On Friday 6 and Saturday 7 comes the Yaiza Extremo Sur, the mountain bike race in Yaiza. The children’s race goes off on the Friday at 15:00; on the Saturday, the 60 km at 8:00 and the 30 km at 9:00. Entries go through Cronoline and, read on 12 October 2026, it costs 60 EUR for the 60 km, 40 for the 30 km and 10 for the children’s race.

Entries are open and close on 3 November at 23:59. Up to 10 October they were 48 and 32 euros: that first band sold out in two days. Another may open before the deadline, so the price that counts is the one Cronoline shows on the day you enter: look at it there before you pay.

Thursday 12 to Saturday 14 November: Haría Titán

Haría Titán is the mountain race of the north and the biggest trail weekend of the month. Three days, five formats and only three of them races: 42.5 km, 22.5 km and 14.5 km, plus an inclusive 5 km hike on the Friday and the children’s Chinij@s Trail. The long race starts on the Saturday at 07:00 from the Plaza de Haría, which means head torches and a start in the dark.

Prices have been at their current level since 1 September: 48 EUR for the marathon distance, 38 EUR for the Geoparque and 28 EUR for the Trail Joven.

If you are coming to watch rather than run, Haría is the place to be: the square is the start, the finish and the centre of the whole thing, and the valley roads around it let you see the race more than once without a car chase.

Saturday 21 November: Night Run at Club La Santa

The Night Run is 4 or 7 kilometres of tarmac inside Club La Santa, run after dark with music, food trucks and most of the field in fluorescent kit. It is not a race for a personal best and it does not pretend to be. If you are already entered in the Running Challenge the following week, your Night Run entry is free.

Sunday 22 to Wednesday 25 November: Running Challenge

The Lanzarote International Running Challenge reaches its 37th edition: four races on four consecutive mornings, 49 kilometres in total across tarmac, dirt and sand. A 10 km road race, a 13 km ridge run, a 5 km beach run and a 21 km half marathon around Tinajo. You can enter a single race instead of the set.

One race is 40.70 EUR and all four are 124.30, the band in force since 29 September. Entries close on 16 November.

And a detail that pairs the two weekends: the Night Run on the 21st is free for anyone entered in at least one of the four Challenge races.

Saturday 28 November: Playa Blanca Music Run Night

The Playa Blanca Music Run Night closes the month and closes the Music Run Night Series: a mile, 5 and 10 km after dark, starting and finishing at the Plaza del Carmen.

With the price, the one that counts is on the platform that takes the money: 15 EUR for the mile, 17 for 5 km and 19 for 10 km, plus fees. The event website lists 12, 14 and 16, so budget with the platform’s figures. Entries close on 25 November.

What November is actually like

The heat of the summer is gone and the wind is the thing to plan around, not the temperature: it decides how the sea feels on the 7th and how the exposed sections of the north feel the following weekend. One more thing worth knowing if you are planning the trip: the Lanzarote International Marathon is on 3 December, the weekend after the Running Challenge. Plenty of visitors link the two.
