Event information
About the event
Transajaches Trail 2026 was run on Saturday 4 July in Femés, as part of the San Marcial de Rubicón festival, and it was an afternoon race: the three adult events started at 16:00 and the children’s race at 11:30. It is organised by Asociación Cultural y Deportiva Femés Activo with Tripasión Eventos and the support of Yaiza town council, and the course crosses the Los Ajaches natural monument. More than a hundred runners took the start.
The edition number is not settled: local press describes the race as brought back after seven years, but no source publishes the figure.
Course and distances
Start and finish in the Plaza San Marcial del Rubicón:
- Vega de Femés, 20 km (20.3 km on the timing chip), with the timed Vertical La Atalaya segment between kilometre 4.35 and kilometre 8.77
- Rubicón, 11.5 km
- Hike, 10 km
- Children’s race, 200 to 800 m by age, from 4 to 13 years old
The 2026 rules contradict themselves twice: they call the long race “Vega de Femés” in some articles and “Pico Redondo” in another, and they give two different start squares. The data here is the version that matches the timing platform and the press reports.
Aid stations on the 20 km are at kilometres 3.85, 10.57 and 15.1, and on the 11.5 km at kilometre 3.85 and at the finish. They serve liquid only, water and isotonic drink, plus orange. Cut-offs were 2h30 at the finish for the 11.5 km, 2h45 at kilometre 15.1 and 3h30 at the finish for the 20 km, and 3h30 for the hike.
Entry and prices
Vega de Femés 25 EUR, Rubicón 15 EUR, hike 10 EUR and children’s race 5 EUR. Places were limited and entries, handled by Tripasión Eventos, closed on 1 July at 12:00. The entry covered an event shirt, aid stations, bag drop, sports insurance and a finisher medal, and numbers were collected on race day from 14:00 to 15:00 in the Plaza San Marcial.
2026 results
20 km men: Tanausú Cabrera, 1:42:01; Rubén Rodríguez, 7:06 behind; Andrés Santana, 10:51 behind. Second and third place times were published as gaps, not as absolute times.
20 km women: Cecilia Martín, 2:55:03, the only entrant at that distance.
11.5 km men: Eutimio Betancor, 55:55; Dani García, 56:41; Agoney Delgado, 59:06.
11.5 km women: Elizabet Perdomo, 1:10:07; Laura Mulcahy, 1:11:40; Loreto Gargallo, 1:18:16.
Beyond the podiums there were category trophies, the Premio San Marcial for the first finisher resident in Yaiza and the Premio Vertical La Atalaya for the best time on the timed climb.
Planning your race
The mandatory kit tells you what kind of race this is: number on the front, phone switched on and charged, a half-litre water bottle and your own cup, because the aid stations hand out none. There are random checks before the start and controls during the race, and skipping them means automatic disqualification.
The organisers also recommend a pack or belt, mountain shoes and clothing, sun cream and lip balm, a cap or visor, poles and a windproof. With a four in the afternoon start in July, what you carry decides more than the pace you set off at.
