The Ocean Lava Lanzarote was run on Saturday 24 October 2026 in Puerto del Carmen, and the timekeeper publishes three classifications: 207 classified in the olympic, 75 in the super sprint and 15 relay teams.

Fernando Marian won the olympic in 2:12:49, and the super sprint overall went to a cadet of 14 or 15 in 40:44.

The times and places on this page come from the timekeeper’s official classifications, read on 24 October 2026 at 16:19 and again at 17:28: all three gave the same figures in both readings, with every row at the finish. The timekeeper’s system was still treating the race as unfinished four hours after it ended, so if anything changes, it is updated here and said so.

The fact of the edition: the two ends of the age table won

The olympic, the long race of the day, was won by a triathlete in the 50-59 age group, ahead of every younger group. And the super sprint was won by a cadet, the 14 and 15 category.

It is not an isolated accident of the podium: in the super sprint, eight of the top ten overall are cadets or juveniles, and of the 75 classified, 26 are under 18, more than a third of the race.

The olympic: 2:12:49 and three and a half minutes clear

The second woman goes without a name. Her name is on our list of people we do not publish because they appeared as a minor in some classification, and although the 24 October 2026 classification places her in an adult group, we have not been able to reconstruct where that doubt came from. Until it is settled, the place and the time yes, the name no.

Of the 207 classified, 39 are women, 18 %. All 207 compete in adult age groups: the youngest in the whole race is a Junior of 18 or 19.

The super sprint goes without names, and it is worth explaining why

All six podium places in the super sprint, men’s and women’s, belong to people under 18. Their names are not published here. The times and the places yes, because that is the race; the names of a minor, no.

Men’s podium, which is also the overall:

Of the 75 classified, 34 are women, 45 %: the highest share of the three classifications.

A warning for anyone looking at the trophy table on the timekeeper’s site: the category prizes are handed out stacked, which means the overall winner is taken out of their category and the trophy goes to the next one. Read straight through, that table suggests the overall was won by an adult.

The relays: three team names and nothing else

PlaceTeamTime

3Harefield Queens2:26:45

The members are not listed here either, for a concrete reason: the relay classification publishes no category and no age for anyone, checked on 24 October 2026. What it does publish, inside the team name, are the first names of the three members. Without knowing the age, a loose first name can belong to a minor, so they stay out.

There is no published classification for the Kids, as of 24 October 2026

The Kids race is on the Ocean Lava programme, but it does not exist as a competition in the timing, checked on 24 October 2026. It was run; its times are not anywhere public.

Next on the calendar

The next date on the island is the Petizo Trail, at night in Órzola on Saturday 31 October. The full list is in the TriLanzarote calendar.
